Traditionel brug: Stammer fra central amerika, hvor den traditionelt er brugt i madlavningen.

Medicinske egenskaber: Chili hører til natskyggefamilien og findes i adskillige varianter: grønne, røde, store, små, stærke, svage. De indeholder blandt andet capsaicin, som er det stof, der gør dem stærke. Chili kan bruges af fysiologiske årsager, for den stimulerer nemlig kredsløbet og fordøjelsen og kan hæve basalstofskiftet.

Anvendelse: Det er nemmest at bruge chili i køkkenet, men har du hår på brystet, kan du også spise den for den terapeutisk virkning – men her vil man oftes vælge kosttilskud som indeholder chili.

Chilli belongs to the nightshade family and is available in several colours: green, red, big, small, strong, weak. They contain capsaicin, which is the substance that makes them strong. Chilli can be used for physiological reasons, because it stimulates circulation and digestion and can increase metabolism.

Usage:
It is most common to use chilli in the kitchen, but if you are super tough you can also use it to obtain the therapeutic effect – however, when chilli is used as a herbal medicine is often taken as a food supplement.
