Ayurvedisk golden milk

En traditionel ayurvedisk drik med ekstraordinære egenskaber – en formidabel måde at få gavn af gurkemejens anti-inflammatoriske effekt.

Golden milk pasta
1 dl. Stødt gurkemeje
2 dl. vand
4 kardemommekapsler – knuste
1 tsk. revet ingefær
½ stang revet kanel

Kog vand, gurkemeje og de øvrige krydderier sammen i mindst ti minutter. Start med en lille smule vand og bliv ved med at spæde vand på. Præcis samme metode som når du opbager en sovs. Det skal have konsistens som en lind grød. Når den har kogt cirka ti minutter, hælder du den på et rent glas. Blandingen kan holde sig i omtrent ti dage på køl.

1 glas plante- eller komælk
1 tsk golden milk pasta
1 tsk honning eller ahornsirup
evt. 1 tsk kokosolie

Varm et glas mælk og rør en teske af din golden milk pasta i. Sød med honning eller ahornsirup og tilsæt eventuelt en lille teskefuld kokosolie.

Ayurvedic golden milk

Golden milk paste
½ cup ground turmeric

1 cup water
4 cardamom pods – crushed
1 tsp. grated ginger
½ stick grated cinnamon

Boil water, turmeric, and the other ingredients for at least ten minutes. Start with a little water and keep adding more and more; it should have the consistency of a steady porridge. When your paste has boiled for about ten minutes, pour it into a clean glass. The mixture will keep fresh for about ten days refrigerated.

Golden milk
1 glass plant or cow’s milk

1 tsp. golden milk pasta
1 tsp. honey or maple syrup
Optional: 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Heat a glass of milk and stir a teaspoon of your golden milk pasta in. Add honey or maple syrup and if you want you can add a small teaspoon of coconut oil.
